Dodrogo is a 324 years old Tortle Samurai who lost is wife 10 years prior to the story, and started roaming the world without a purpose, working as a mercenary just enough to feed himself
As the older member of the party, he's the one who keeps them in check and annoys them with stories from when he was young. The "tattoos" on his shell are from his young days as well, when he was part of a criminal group
