Gareth Soloway called the Bitcoin pullback yesterday and it arrived overnight — rejected off a hidden trend line, possibly printing a daily topping tail. Gold got rejected off one too. Both came from lines most traders never draw, and he shows how to find them. Markets are higher as oil and yields pull back, with PCE and NVIDIA tomorrow.
📐 TODAY'S GAME PLAN
🔴 BITCOIN — The call worked. Connect the pivot lows and price pierced the line overnight, with a daily topping tail possibly forming. Nick Valdez flagged that Bitcoin ETF inflows were the biggest since the last top — which was the top. Base case is a 50% retrace to $71,000–$73,000. Where he would buy is lower: the former pivot high where an inverse head and shoulders broke out.
🔴 GOLD — Same lesson, different chart. The line Gareth drew yesterday off a pivot low, flipped around, caught the high exactly. He expects a multi-day pullback, first support the $4,435 consolidation.
🔵 HIDDEN TREND LINES — Why both worked. Most investors draw double tops, double bottoms, obvious pivots. Hidden lines are ones price already crossed through, so nobody has them charted. Seeing what others cannot is the edge.
🔵 DRUCKENMILLER VS BESSENT — Druckenmiller attacked the yield curve control attempt: lipstick on a pig, when the problem is $40 trillion in debt and climbing. The wrinkle: he and Bessent worked together at the Soros fund years ago.
🔵 NVDA — The main event, tomorrow after the bell. It topped in May and has struggled since, sitting on a trend line from the April 2025 lows through the March 30 and July 29 pivot lows. Options imply a 6% move, but guidance and margins matter more. Meanwhile an Indian firm just ordered 9,000 Vera Rubin chips.
🔵 SPY / YIELDS — The megaphone holds: two diverging lines, wider swings, both boundaries respected. Above the pivot near 7,560–7,570 he stays bullish. The 10-Year is down four basis points but has not broken its key line; a drop toward 4.6% bids the market toward all-time highs.
🔴 DKS — Down almost 20% on a revenue miss, an earnings miss, and atrocious guidance, dragging Nike and Lululemon with it. Day-trade bounce $138. Not a swing — his three-day rule says wait out the fund selling first.
🔵 BE / MA / KWEB — Bloom Energy is up 5% on news that Nancy Pelosi's husband bought 15,000 shares plus 200 calls; the catch is disclosure lags the trade by up to 45 days, so you know neither entry nor exit. Two swing setups behind it: Mastercard went vertical $470 to $600 into a double top and an ascending line off the April 2025 pivot low, and KWEB is retracing to the scene of the crime — near $25 it gets interesting long.
🔵 US OIL / NATGAS — Oil pulls back off the wedge line it has touched repeatedly. Support near $79, then the low end of the wedge. He holds his call: range bound $72–$85 until the midterms. Natgas failed again.
🔑 KEY TAKEAWAY: When price ignores your line, the line was wrong — not the price. Silver came up just shy of Gareth's level today and he says plainly that means he missed a factor. Price is the arbiter of truth, and treating it that way separates charting from hoping.
