How will I invest in 2026 – With the S&P500 at all time highs and AI stocks going parabolic?

In the weekend portfolio and macro update, I shared that after the huge rally, the S&P500 looks overbought here.

The RSI sits at 70 – the last time the S&P500 was this overbought was mid 2024 and 2025, both of which were followed by mild corrections (but no trend break).

Meanwhile AI stocks are going parabolic, with names like Micron going up double digit percentage day after day.

So how would I invest my money in a climate like that?

What Happened in China This Week

1. Hang Seng Tech slid 2.3% this week. It's now down 15% YTD, dragged lower by the internet and platform names in the index.

2. Investors are worried about high AI capex. And whether all that spending will ever be properly monetised.

3. On top of that, some of these platforms may end up getting disrupted by AI itself, hitting revenue and earnings.

4. Even Tencent and Alibaba are down more than 10% this year. So what hope is there for smaller, less-moaty Chinese internet names?

5. Meanwhile, China semiconductor stocks are flying. The Global X China Semiconductor ETF is up 6.5% this week and 54% YTD. This is the tech that's winning in China.

6. China's top two memory players, ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) and Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC), are moving toward major IPOs.

7. TCL Electronics, one of the world's largest TV makers, reported a 236% jump in profit after tax. Stock is up 48% YTD.

8. XPeng is entering the already crowded robotaxi space.

9. TopNC jumped 80% on its IPO debut. It makes parts for China's C919 jets.
