IEA is the same as the WEF. They have laid out a "10 point plan" for reducing oil. The news this morning just skimmed the service and didn't cover the disturbing details behind it.

Check out the "Demand Restraint" part of this. It's basically calling for moar mandates, but instead of mandates on health, it's mandates on lifestyles. Broken down by country. I think they are disappointed the United States isn't able to put some of these restraints into action—dang that constitution that gives people freedoms. (source)

3. Car-free Sundays in cities

4. Use public transportation, walking and cycling

5. Alternate private car access to roads

6. Increase car sharing

7. Promote efficient driving for freight trucks

9. Avoid business air travel

10. Reinforce the adoption of electric and more efficient vehicles
