More on Victoria Nuland. She is married to Robert Kagan, co-founder of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC). PNAC was a neocon think tank that was signed off on by Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, among others.

PNAC gained fame in the 9/11 Truth Movement because in September 2000, the group wrote that a more assertive U.S. policy in the Middle East, including the use of force if necessary to unseat Saddam, would likely be a long one, “absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor” in order to gain public support.

A year later, they got their wish and were able to fulfill their agenda in the Middle East.
