We attach our custom ASICs to our implant PCBA using flip chip bonding process. Hereโ€™s a sped up version of that process where we pick up the chip, apply flux, precisely align, and bond to the board.๐ŸŽฏ

Our surgeons use the lasso tool to highlight relevant brain regions based on fMRI. The robot leverages high resolution cameras to automatically place targets in the region of interests while avoiding the tiniest vessels that are not easily visible to the naked eye ๐Ÿค

We use multiple scanning technologies to ensure that we target the optimal brain region with our implant. MRI and CT scans are aligned and used to guide the position of the implant on the skull surface intraoperatively. Functional MRI scans are used to identify the desired region of the cortex (in red) for placement of our electrodes ๐Ÿฉป
