The event was organized on the command of the Reichsführer-SS by the sport union of the SS. The list of the event shows 48 winners. A notable recipient in two categories was none other than Reinhard Heydrich, who took two awards and achieved a 5th place with a sword and a 3rd place with a sabre. The future 2nd in command of the SS performed well and was an avid fencer.
