Hi everyone!

The main domain should be up and running already. The ishare2 utility is currently crawling images from the main domain only so it should be working now as well :)

On other news, I finally finished delivering the shared drive copies to everyone who made a request.

I've been busier than before due to college and other projects but I'll hopefully be more available by next week and on.

More old news...
We finally hit the goal on our donations page! Thank you so much for your support! ❤️
If you've got time please take a look at the post on BuyMeACoffee for more info. I'll make a telegraph post later so you can read it here as well

This month's downloads and requests were outstanding. More than twice as before. We'll keep working hard to keep the service up and running to cover the high demand but if for some reason the main domain goes off again please use the alt domains 🙏
Thanks a lot to the anonymous person who donated 5 coffees, $10 on Nov 6, 2022! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really appreciate your support!

Guys I forgot to announce here that ishare2 is out!

Most of you probably know it already but it's a reborn of ishare written in bash.

It fetches all images from unetlab.cloud and the developer is still improving the code and features.

You can find the instructions of how it works here: https://github.com/pnetlabrepo/ishare2

Keep in mind that this has only been tested on PNetLab instances so you might have some errors if you're using a different emulator.

The dev is doing his best to enhance the tool so stay tuned for that!

We're working together on making some video tutorials and extended documentation for it.

We're experiencing issues with UNETLAB Cloud again 😅

The issue is we're having an average of 2 TB of downloads per day so the host is exhausted.

We'll randomize where the files are being pulled from in the coming days, for now please use alt domains mentioned on previous posts.

Hopefully in a couple hours the service will be back to normal please be patient in the meantime
Hello everyone!, Alex here with more news...

As you may know UNETLAB Cloud uses Google shared drives to store all the images at low cost and high efficiency.

Unfortunately that's not going to be possible anymore as Google is putting restrictions for edu Shared Drives.

So the plan for the future is moving to another free storage provider.

The issues that we've been experiencing lately are probably due to these new restrictions as well.

While we move to another platform we'll try to keep the service up as much as possible.

Google will enforce these restrictions on January 23rd so we have a little more than a month to make these changes.

All the images in the repositories are about 1.5 TB in total so an efficient and distributed storage solution is our best bet.

I already had thought about this possibility so I already have a possible solution.

There's gonna be a new subdomain for testing in the coming days and I'll keep you informed.

Previous links may break when the migration is complete so I'll keep you guys up to date!

You can read more about these new restrictions here: https://t.me/msgsuitechat/216304
Requesting copies of repositories is also going to be affected as they're currently being sent through Shared Drives.

Previously generated shared drives might disappear as time goes by.

These new restrictions might make it impossible or at the very least harder to share images in bulk with the ones who request it.
The migration to a new host has initiated. Google Drive is a sinking boat so you will definitely experience errors and down time. We will migrate to the new host as soon as possible. Please be patient.

Thank you very much for your support Eric Lim, $10, 5 coffees!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
These are the total numbers of copies we have sent so far to the ones who made a request through the Google Form.

This will most likely come to an end once Google enforces its new storage policy :(

Unless we find a good alternative, users who want a copy after January 20th will have to provide a storage solution themselves

The migration of files has finally been completed successfully!

A new beta web app will launch today or tomorrow (UTC -6) depending on how complex things get on the way.
(Edit) will launch most likely in January 😁

The form for requesting copies of the repositories has been disabled due to Google's new storage policy.

We will not be able to send copies through shared drives anymore.

If you want a copy in the future, contact us in the group, you'll have to provide your own storage service.
Google seems to have shadow banned unetlab.cloud from search results a while ago.
Even so, it's still getting a good amount of clicks and a good position in the search results :)

UPDATE: The beta officially is officially closed as of Jan 22nd. The index has been tested and approved and it's now being used by the main domain's index.

Took me a little longer but the beta index is finally here: https://beta.unetlab.cloud/

Please test it and let me know if you encounter any issues.

Depending on how well this performs we'll decide if we use it or if we switch to other host.

Yesterday we sent the last 2 copies of the repositories. It will no longer be possible to share them via "Google Shared Drives" due to the new Google's storage policy :(

From now on if you want to have a copy you will have to provide your own storage provider solution like: FTP, or cloud services like Onedrive, Google Drive, etc.
Channel name was changed to «Unetlab Cloud & ishare2 Updates»
Thank you so much NinehatSolution for $6! (3 coffees) ❤️❤️❤️
