I was in middle school and used ICQ to chat. Made friends across the ocean with an antigov from Australia.
He ragged on USGov as if he half expected me to defend it, but I never did. I hated USGov then, found the State contradictory in both its delegated authority and action.

He eventually became family by choice.

Fast forward to 9:30 am, English Class, senior year, September 11, 2001. Civics was wrong government was authoritarian, school became indoctrination, and the people followed as if it was their civic duty to just 'accept' the new future.

Then...melted into society for a while, until I got the private security gig. Saw the local game, and learned to not like it. Started listening to nighttime talk radio while on shift during rounds.
Neal boortz got my interest. He was a die hard republican, and he did offer some things to look into.
Then I began listening to TXLR Liberty Radio, ATX (now online streaming only), listening to Rule of Law Radio and the Transportation show where the transportation code was passed similarly as the 16th amendment, and listened to the hosts talk about law and court room.

Bringing me into interests in the USCon, later, the TxCon.

Joined mewe 2014, became a 'die-hard' Constitutionalist original intent/ textualist..yadda yadda for several years.
Listened to KAH, and for many years, believed that "if only we would return to the original intent/ we the people/ vote (harder)..."

(Still fully distrustful of all governments at this point.)

Met friends from TAR, learned about them, defended KAH from them (they were right afterall), then began listening to Tom woods, then about 2 years ago met a kind soul whom shared with me Spooner, watner, the Secret proceedings from 1839, and with his help has been helping keep principles straight and contradictions away.
Then came Malice, Larken, Patrick Smith,, and I've been lost from Statism ever since.

Admittedly, husband is an owner operator, so, I literally have to deal with government every single day on every painful effing level.

We're not fully 'out' of the system, but we're working on mitigating the government problem as much as possible.

Edit: I must be tired.. Hoppe's work are good reads too.
