Learning is more about effectiveness than brute number of hours( सीखने की value हैं ज़्यादा outcome में, ना की बिना बात के घंटो घंटो किताबो को पकड़े रहने में।)
I would always take time in first couple of readings so that I can internalise the content using structures. That structure could be anything. UPSC's syllabus, a story that I make, mnemonic etc.(20 बार एक किताब पढ़ने से बेहतर हैं उसे पहली दूसरी बार में इस तरीके से पढ़ा जाए कि वो कंठस्थ हो जाए।)
This is an illustration from Fundamental Duties. We know that areas like Fundamental rights, DPSPs, FDs, SDGs can be readily used in our answers to substantiate. So internalising them becomes important. लेकिन करना कैसे हैं, कभी नही बताता कोई, बस बोल देते हैं, "ये याद कर लेना।". और बचपन से सीखा भी हमने एक ही तरीका हैं याद करने का, "बार बार रट्टा मारो"।
Until now we must have realised that rote memorization is horrible. समय की wastage और ऊपर से दिमाग खराब bonus में।
So I used a story of "How a nation is created" and augmented that story with GS. For eg. पहले देश का राजनीतिक ढांचा देगा संविधान(कांस्टीट्यूशन). वो बना होगा Freedom struggle के बाद।
आगे की कहानी should be self explanatory from the page.
This is how I want all of you to make your own notes exclusively for topics you want to internalise.
