Use the last 2 days judiciously with the following tips:

- Avoid complacence in Language papers. Dedicate a major chunk of Friday at least, for writing the regional language plus cram grammar questions.

- Avoid writing so much now to give adequate rest to your hand so you optimise the pace and comfort on the exam day.

- Just keep revising the optional notes and ‘believe in your abilities’ like there’s no tomorrow.

Optional Attempt Strategy:

Before time begins after QCAB distribution, find qns to attempt. Find qns that you know most subparts in.

Attempt 80 marks worth of easy paper first to gain momentum and pick the low hanging fruits, in the first hour from the ones you choose. Then Q1 and Q5 compulsory ones in around 75-80mins since they would be complex and then the remaining paper.

Please forward to Mains appearing Sherlockers internally if not active on telegram.

One advice that people usually roll out, one that I’ve come to completely despise, is-“Start studying right after you wake up”!

Now ofc, this does come with its own share of merit, like giving one a headstart in the beginning. But this is one advice that should only be followed in very crunch times, and can’t be followed for extended periods.

In usual days, we need to establish a routine that also keeps us ‘sane’. I experienced the issues first hand when I was studying right after waking up for 6-7months and I slowly started losing sense of ‘when is it a new day’ or those 6-7 months were ‘one long day’.

Here are things I absolutely recommend before starting your study routine for the day that will not only improve your productivity and mood, but also stop you from going insane.

- Go out in the sun for 5-7mins.
- Stretch/Walk, can combine with the previous step too.
- Take a good bath.
- Find a set of happy instrumental songs to play with the previous step.
- Meditate/Pray for 2-3mins atleast.
- Have a light breakfast.

This routine will take less than 30mins but set you up for success, happiness and a superior productivity in the longer run.

Key tip for Mains students appearing in Language Compulsory papers tomorrow.

Go through UPSC’s syllabus in the regional language eg. Hindi. You will get enough vocabulary to write the essay, etc. to easily clear the qualifying.

As we mark Bhagat Singh Ji’s birth anniversary today, it's a fitting moment to pause and reflect. His approach, his dedication, his sheer grit - these aren't just history lessons, they're life lessons.

• Unwavering commitment: Bhagat Singh Ji dedicated his life to a cause. Our cause? Cracking UPSC. Commit fully.

• Have a vision: He saw beyond immediate freedom to a just society. Look at the bigger picture of serving India.

• Time management: He achieved much in a short life. Make every study hour count.

• Courage of conviction: Once decided, he didn't waver. Trust your preparation & thyself and stay confident.

On this birth anniversary, let's not just remember Bhagat Singh Ji - let's embody his spirit in our pursuits. After all, we’re not just preparing for an exam, we’re preparing to serve the nation he gave his life for.

A necessary evil or privacy concerns?

In my experience it’s a mix of both.

It’ll mean that ‘Anonymous fringe’ will not get away with juvenile acts, but might also mean government potentially armtwisting the provider for sensitive details.

Anyway, hopefully atleast the sensible ones would act more responsibly as there might be consequences to indiscretion.
