Haapy Independence Day to all community members.

It’s a day to acknowledge that the freedom we enjoy today can’t be taken for granted

It’s famously remarked that, “Birds born in a cage think flying is a disease.”

But it’s a testament to the work of our freedom fighters that inhabitants of the “Golden Bird” always strived to undo the shackles of colonialism.

We’ll hopefully now strive to build upon that and participate in building of a freer society, free of hatred, bigotry, poverty and so on. A lofty utopian goal, I know, but in matters of freedom, IDEALISM is indeed the PRAGMATISM.
