🚨 For People Worried about Mock Scores

🎲 Given the current unpredictable quality of Mocks, the score absolutely doesn’t matter!

🎯 Focus on getting the basic questions correct.

📝 Use mocks as an opportunity to:
- Sit for 2hrs with focus and
- ✍️ Fill OMR without silly mistakes.

🛤 Believe in the process and yourself.

🌌 Leave the rest to Almighty/ Karma/ Mother Nature/ Blessings/ Whatever it is you believe in!

When you get a surprise gift from the community.

Find my heartfelt gratitude.

Know that we don’t operate out of this formal relationship so these gestures, howsoever moving, are absolutely not required.

Your support and success are the best gifts you can provide me!

Idk what this reminds me of! 🌚

Ofcourse TT, what else.

We are mostly only exposed to successful candidates who would want to believe that it was their ‘competence’ and ‘strategy’ that helped them clear the exam, negating the role of luck.

A narrative like that creates unnecessary burden, anxiety and false expectations out of how this ‘uncertain’ exam operates.

You can’t always control the outcome with 100% certainty either here or in any other domain of your life, the sooner you accept, the better you could focus exclusively on controllables.

Controllables:

-Basic Sources,
-PYQ Analysis,
-Being in the right mindset,
-7.5hrs study per day 5.5 days a week consistently,
-Application of knowledge.

And then leave the rest to the Almighty , Mother Nature, Karma, Blessings and Love of your Parents & Elders!

Earth Day & India's 'Panchamrit' Goals: Quick Guide for UPSC Aspirants 🌍

Earth Day is our annual reminder to protect our planet. For UPSC aspirants, knowing India’s ‘Panchamrit’ targets from COP26 is crucial. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Clean Energy: By 2030, half of our power will come from non-fossil sources. Huge move towards solar 🌞 and wind 🌬️ energy.

2. Cut Down Carbon: We’re cutting down our carbon intensity by 45% by 2030 from 2005 levels. This means making industries cleaner and more efficient. 🏭➡️🌱

3. Boost Renewable Energy: Aim to reach 500 GW renewable energy by 2030. This is about building more solar parks and wind farms. 🌿

4. Zero Out Carbon by 2070: Long-term goal to stop adding more carbon to the atmosphere by 2070. A big commitment to fight climate change. 🌐

5. More Green Land: We plan to fix up 26 million hectares of damaged land by 2030, helping nature and improving the air. 🌲🌳

Study Tips:
- Focus on these goals and how we plan to get there. Check the latest reports and news for updates. 📚👀
- Use these points in your answers to show you understand what’s happening and why it matters. ✍️

Keep it Real: These goals are ambitious, but they’re not easy. Keep up with progress reports to stay informed. 🧐

Exam Prep: Understand these points well—they’ll help you in the exam and as a future officer who might work on these issues. 📝🎯

Remember, Earth Day is about action—India’s plans are a big part of our global promise to do better for our planet. 🌏💚

This is what mindset is about. “I’m good enough to be here. If you get hurt, it’s god’s will. You will survive”!

We ensure that we focus on the peak mindset in our Sherlocking Sessions too.

Hope they help you reach a similar state!

CSAT Comprehension is markedly different to the comprehension questions we’re used to doing since an early age. Hence people find this section impeccably difficult even though in my eyes, it’s the easiest.

UPSC Prelims verus Sherlocking

I have often been asked what is 'Sherlocking' and if it was applicable in UPSC Prelims 2023 and how relevant will it be moving forward.

This short video not only covers the basics of 'Sherlocking' but I demonstrate its basics by solving some questions from UPSC Prelims 2023.

Know that while this exam comes with no guarantee, I truly believe that following the right process can give you as good a chance as there can be.

Exceptionally high number of vacancies, 500+!

Don’t miss out for those who are looking for a PlanB from a similar pattern exam.

We can have a separate strategy session if need be!

Course Update:

A lot of students wanted to know the time it'll take to watch the module end to end.

Roughly, videos from GS+Heuristics constituting all PYQs from 2011-2023 are around 50hrs in length. Watching at 1.25x/1.5x within a week would take care of the entire videos.

Similarly, for CSAT, videos from 2018-23 are roughly around 20hrs. Watching at 1.25x/1.5x within 3 days would guarantee that you clear CSAT.

The complete module thus can be finished within 7-10days.

There were students who joined the module 15 days before Pre last time and still found tremendous value in it.

Must Read/Must Watch Advice as Prelims gets closer

Importance of Expectation Anchoring in UPSC Prelims -

We offer hear - 'if you get polity question incorrect - you are out of the race.' Often times, we get into this rabbit hole in our endeavour to get ALL questions from our favourite subject (often polity) correct.

This statement puts so much pressure on students that many give up in the exam hall itself.

Here is my opinion on this -

This short clip will help you tremendously in strategizing well.

It’s all about Mindset after the requisite prep.

Just hear what Milkha Singh Ji, “The Flying Sikh”, had to say about his experience in Rome Olympics.

Mental Conditioning is as important as the Prep itself!
11🔥3👍1
Thoughts work just like YouTube’s algorithm.

When we’re born, the mind is an empty slate aka tabula rasa. But over years of parental and societal conditioning, it starts to prefer certain kind of content over others.

That preference is determined by YouTube like parameters,

Click Through Rate: How likely you’re to engage with a certain thread of thought.

Eg. A thought pops up, “कल बेइज़त्ती होगयी सबके सामने” and you click on it i.e. “उसके बारे में गहन सोच करने लग गये”, the algorithm knows that it’s more engaging thus shows you more such thought threads in the future.

Average View Time: How long you engage with certain thought threads. eg. दिमाग़ में बात आयी, “कल वाले Test में अच्छे marks आए।” but then within few seconds, you disregard that performance because society wants you to be “Humble” or you have an “Imposter syndrome”(गलती से आ गए होंगे), the algorithm doesn’t promote such thought threads.

On the other hand, when you’re given a thought thread on “I’m not good enough”, you spend hours and hours on collating experiences on that thought(घंटों दुःख के समंदर में डूब जाते हैं।). The algorithm then thinks, “God this content must be great”, and pushes it more.

Overtime, we also come to “Subscribe” to permanent notions. Those notions can be discriminatory, prejudiced, self sabotaging( आत्म घाती) but doesn’t matter. As a subscriber, your Mind feed will be flooded with that content.

So what is the solution?

On YouTube, you have the luxury of a fresh start, a new ID. Here you don’t, and that’s the fun part. You have to salvage the situation as a master tactician.

As Mark Twain famously remarked, “Habits can't be flung out of the window by any man overnight, but coaxed downstairs a step at a time.”. Similarly, we have to clean our Mind Feed one video at a time.

Increase CTR and watchtime on positive uplifting content. Unsubscribe from content that doesn’t add value to your life.

Easier said than done, right?
बोलना आसान हैं, करना बिलकुल नहीं।

That’s where meditation and community support comes into play.

Meditation will help you gain focus and self control to stay away from the negative content and actively engage with the positive one. And community support will be the safety net in case you sometimes fall short. जब बाक़ी लोगो के experiences सुनोगे तो पता लगेगा की सभी same नाव में सवारी कर रहे हैं, जिससे अपने प्रति compassion बढ़ेगा।

Mara’s voice will try to pull you back into engaging with the useless videos, but I know, the little Buddha inside inside of you will help you resist the temptation.

Hopefully you’ll try it and get back to us with results.

Parshuram’s Curse to Karna should be a lesson in avoiding IP Infringement:

It has come to our notice that some subversive elements are:

-Pestering enrolled Sherlockers to ‘share’ the course!

If you violate the IP, you’re playing a lose lose for all:

-You devoid me of my due from my hardwork of 6+ yrs and let down my trust.

-You won’t receive the personalised doubt resolution and mindset conditioning sessions.

-Anyway the IP won’t help you courtesy Parshuram’s Curse to Karna.

I’m sure you’ll understand the dynamics of the situation and be reasonable to me and to your future!
