SHERLOCKING MODULE:

Testimonials:
https://t.me/Neil_You/308

The biggest success of the Pre Sherlocking Module is the fact that all enrolled students recognised the stark difference in quality between the module videos and the clickbaity PYQ videos on YouTube!

A lot of students at times enroll in one subject to check the quality and we’ve had 100% conversion as they always upgrade to the full module within the stipulated 15day window.

Don’t take my word for it, check out the testimonials and FAQs below!

Whenever you do anything significant in life, you’ll invite the anger and envy from the fringe.

As they say, success in life brings a lot of fake friends and real enemies. That’s the moment when you should realise that you’re on the right trajectory in life.

But, anger or despondency on those back is unnatural. That’s the hallmark of one’s character.

Keep your chin up, detach from people’s opinions and focus on your Karma. The rest of the life figures itself out.

📉💡 Unpopular Opinion:

🏛️🌑 UPSC preparation industry is in a peak dark age.

🗣️🚫 A lot of lies have become so internalized in the aspirants as a part of the prep cycle, that they’re accepted as unquestionable FACTS.

🤔🔥 And anyone questioning them is a ‘heretic’, as they called them in the dark ages.

🔮🕰️ I’m sure that just how heliocentrism was an idea which took time to get accepted in the mainstream but now is so obvious in hindsight, ideas that we discuss here will also stand the scrutiny of time.

💔📊 LIE: Mocks are a benchmark to test your preparation.

🙅‍♂️ Absolutely No.

🧠💣 Mock tests are made by people whose primary intent is to give questions which are hard to solve with knowledge or heuristics for fear mongering.

💵👻 And fear is the best salesman for these institutions.

📚✔️ Stick to basic sources, PYQ analysis and application of Heuristics.

📉🏋️‍♂️ FLTs should be restricted to 6-10 mostly for simulation exercise, and not to beat your spirit up.

🔄🎭 LIE: UPSC is changing its pattern to eliminate tricks/elimination/guessmastergiri.

👀🤢 These terms, if you carefully notice, have been carefully crafted to arouse a sense of ‘disgust’ towards any guesswork.

💰🚫 Now not to say that YT bhaiyas and didis have done nothing to bring disrepute to the art.

🔍💸 But people who are peddling these ideas are also dependent on a revenue stream coming from ‘Long 100+hr courses’, so that Conflict of Interest should always be considered.

🎲🚷 A trick is to deceive. ‘Guessmasters’ have mindless ‘tricks’ without considering context.

🎓🌱 Logic Reasoning is neither a trick nor Guessmastergiri.

🧠🌟 It’s nature’s gift to us, driving our survival since eons helping us ‘apply’ our existing ‘knowledge’.

📰💰 LIE: UPSC = Current/Contemporary Affairs.

💸🐄 Current Affairs is a cash cow bringing a stable yearly revenue to these institutions.

🏛️🔁 Foundation can be sold only once, CA is well ‘Current’!

🎯🆕 When these institutions were unable to show its direct relevance to PYQs, they invented a new jumla aka ‘Contemporary’ is now ‘Current’.

🥇🎲 Masterstroke I must tell you, because now you can indirectly connect everything from a pool of unending newspapers over a large 3-5yr span, and sell more courses.

📊🚫 Current Affairs has relevance, nobody is denying that, but not to the extent that is emphasised on.

👀 I see students wasting 50-60% of their time on it.

🔍🎥 Look at some of our YT analysis to bust this myth with evidence and don’t give more than 10-15% time to it.

💪🔍 Nietzsche once famously remarked, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.

🌟📢 The idea to bust these myths was inspired by the propaganda being run by some fringe Padosis who misinform students to focus on the ‘Conventional Lies’.

🙋‍♂️📜 As they say, “सवारी समान की खुद ज़िम्मेदार हैं”.

🤷‍♂️📚 I absolutely don’t care whether you agree with me or not, my job is to give you the unadulterated truth with an edifice of 6yr+ experience and Logical Reasoning.

🤝🌍 But remember, whatever you agree with has to be in consonance with the ground reality.

Spoiler Alert for those waiting for official answer key.

Since I’ve nearly shot the Pre23 for Sherlocking Module, we’ve realised that there were around 10-15 Qns with ambiguos Qn/Option framing.

The answers to those questions will be arbitrary as it includes an element of discretion and in no way will reflect the ‘objectively’ correct options.

Rather than focusing on What Ifs based on your last performance, I would encourage you to do an objective audit and prioritise the remaining 85 questions with unambiguous answers to give yourself the best chance to clear this year.

This is relevant for students waiting for results as well as the ones waiting for the upcoming Prelims.

You should not should take precious years of your youth to realise the ultimate truth of this exam, IT IS BRUTALLY UNCERTAIN!

Focus on sticking to Basic sources, PYQ Analysis, Application(Finding the right option in Pre, Answer Writing in Mains, Articulation in Interviews) and leave the rest to Almighty/Mother Nature/Blessings of Your Parents or whatever power you believe in!

UPSC Prelims verus Sherlocking

I have often been asked what is 'Sherlocking' and if it was applicable in UPSC Prelims 2023 and how relevant will it be moving forward.

This short video not only covers the basics of 'Sherlocking' but I demonstrate its basics by solving some questions from UPSC Prelims 2023.

Know that while this exam comes with no guarantee, I truly believe that following the right process can give you as good a chance as there can be.

▪️As Prelims draws comes closer, I have been getting panicked messages from students who are feeling lost, under-prepared and over-burdened vis-vis current affairs. 😢😪

▪️First of all, know that if you have your basics in place, the time left is ENOUGH to do the required CA prep. 🌟

▪️Students enrolled in my Sherlocking Pre Module would have seen through the videos uploaded till now - how many current affairs questions were doable through logic and common sense in Prelims 2023. 🗞🗞

In the new videos series on YouTube, I will be covering major aspects of Current Affairs preparation including - how much to cover, how to cover, from where to cover etc.

Watch this5 minutes long 1st video in the series which will dispel many of the myths you might believe in -
