Hundreds of Anti-Lockdown Protesters Rally Against COVID-19 Restrictions in Slovakia

Anti-lockdown protesters against COVID-19 vaccine rules blocked entry to Slovakia’s parliament on Friday (July 23).

Prime Minister Eduard Heger said he sympathized with those tired of the measures, but the rules were in place "to protect the lives of all Slovak citizens—even those protesters."

Riot police showed up later and fired tear gas at the hundreds of demonstrators who were blocking the entrance to Slovakia's parliament and pelting the building with eggs as deputies debated legislation on COVID-19 restrictions opposed by the protesters.
