Job Vacancy: Field Guide at Kifaru Luxury Lodge & Bush Camp

Position: Field Guide

Requirements:
SASSETA certificate
Trails Guide certificate
Valid first aid certificate
Valid code 8 driver's license with a PDP
Fluent in English
Sober habits
Knowledge of the flora, fauna and ecosystem
Friendly and forthcoming attitude towards guests

Responsibilities:
Conducting guided wildlife safaris and bush walks
Providing guests with insightful information about the ecosystem and wildlife
Ensuring the safety and well-being of guests during activities
Maintaining a high level of professionalism and hospitality at all times
Assisting with wildlife monitoring and conservation efforts
Manage guests' expectations of indulgence.
Educate guests on the area's flora, fauna, and geology during game drives.
Prepare and maintain the game vehicle for each drive.
Ensure safety procedures are followed and equipment is maintained.
Assist with responsible veld management tasks.
Learn and understand game drive options and local area history.
Practice responsible off-road driving.
Understand radio communication procedures.
Provide information to guests regarding sightings.
Assist with guest check-in and check-out.
Interact with guests and address queries.
Record drinks issued and used per game drive accurately.
Provide additional assistance to ensure department efficiency.
