שעתיים אחרי שפרסם את הכתבה האחרונה שלו נמצא הכתב אמיר אלון ירוי בראשו. הטענה שנחשפה לראשונה כאן בפורטל עומרי חיון שאלון ירה בראשו ברכבו. ברשת יש קולות שטוענים כי אדם שנמצא בהלך רוח דיכאוני ואובדני, לא מפרסם מאמר מפורט שעתיים קודם לכן. עוד טעונים הגולשים שאמיר בכלל נרצח בכלל תחקיר שהכין על שר האוצר – ליברמן. כרגע מדובר רק בשמועות. כתב חדשות N12, אמיר אלון נמצא אמש ללא רוח חיים. אלון היה בן 39 במותו והיה תושב הרצליה במשך שנים, באחרונה התגורר במושב באיזור ירושלים. הוא שימש כראש דסק, כתב מגזין וכתב כלכלה באתר החדשות N12.

בשעות הערב והלילה שהחלו לצוץ השמועות ברשתות על מותו של אמיר – המשיכו גולשים לקשר את תחקיר ליברמן והזכירו על עדים ואנשים שנעלמו בתיקי ליברמן בעבר. בנובמבר 2015 החל לעבוד באתר ynet ככתב בדרום ועורך ובהמשך מונה לכתב הרווחה של "ידיעות אחרונות", במהלך הקריירה שלו שימש ככתב ב-"צומת השרון" וסיקר את הרצליה. אמש, שעתיים אחרי שפרסם את הכתבה נמצא הכתב אמיר אלון ירוי בראשו. הטענה: התאבד. ברשת יש קולות שטוענים כי אדם שנמצא בהלך רוח דיכאוני ואובדני, לא מפרסם מאמר מפורט שעתיים קודם לכן. האמנם?
