A mysterious incident has left a Nairobi family searching for answers after 21-year-old Margaret Wambui was found dead outside Altura Apartments in Upper Hill.
According to preliminary reports, Wambui entered the 22-storey apartment building on Saturday night before making her way to the rooftop, where she was reportedly taking photos. A security guard is said to have briefly left the area, only to return and discover that she was missing. Her body was later found on a neighbouring property below.
Wambui, a hotel intern who lived in Kasarani, had reportedly left home earlier that evening, telling her family she was heading to work. However, she never arrived. Her phone, handbag, work uniform, ID card, and other personal belongings were recovered from the rooftop.
Her family has dismissed claims of suicide, insisting she was in good spirits and demanding a thorough investigation into whether she fell accidentally or if foul play was involved.

A 39-year-old man from Karimba Village in Mitheru Ward is reportedly recovering after he was allegedly forcefully circumcised by a group of residents.
According to reports, the residents, said to include boda boda riders, allegedly raised money to hire a circumciser before tracking down the man, claiming he had spent years avoiding the traditional rite.
Reports further claim that some women in the area had complained that the man always insisted on making love in complete darkness to conceal the fact that he was uncircumcised—something many locals say is culturally unacceptable in parts of the Mt. Kenya region.
The incident has since sparked widespread debate online, with many condemning the act as unlawful, while others have defended it on cultural grounds.
