Vandal pees on, shatters statues outside Williamsburg Catholic church on first Sunday of Advent

Some sacrilegious sneak urinated on a pair of statues outside a #Williamsburg church on Sunday, and then knocked them to the ground, authorities said.

The bigot took a leak on the two figurines inside the courtyard in front of Metropolitan Avenue’s Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church around 4 am on the first Sunday of Advent — the Catholic Church’s four-week season leading up to Christmas — and then pushed them down, shattering each when it hit the ground, said cops, citing surveillance footage.

And the blasphemous act, which officials are investigating as a hate crime, is not the first time vandals defiled the house of worship between Berry Street and Bedford Avenue.

Woman Stabbed In Prospect Park Subway Station: Cops

#ParkSlope, #Brooklyn -- A woman is in stable condition after being stabbed in a subway station Tuesday morning, but police are still looking for the men who attacked her.

Police said the woman was in a dispute with three men in the 15th Street-Prospect Park just before 6 a.m. when she was stabbed in the abdomen. She was brought to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition, police said.

No arrests were made as of 10 a.m. and police are still searching for the three men involved in the dispute, who they described as Hispanic.

​​Amid Measles Outbreak, NYC Bars All Unvaccinated Children From Yeshivos

#BoroughPark: Effective Friday, all children who have not been vaccinated, regardless of reason, are not allowed to attend yeshivah in Boro Park or Williamsburg — irrespective of whether a case of #Measles has occurred in the school, the #NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (#DOHMH) said.

The extraordinary protocol was issued amid the worst outbreak of measles in the Orthodox Jewish community in years, with about 100 confirmed cases across New York and New Jersey. Yeshivos will be required to bar students who have not been immunized with the required number of doses of measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine.

Students cannot return to yeshivah until they are appropriately vaccinated, or until the outbreak is declared over, even if they have an approved religious or medical exemption. If a student in the yeshivah develops measles, additional restrictions apply.

The outbreak began in #Israel, and was brought over to #Rockland on Sukkos by an unvaccinated tourist. Rockland currently has 89 confirmed cases.

The disease quickly spread to #Williamsburg, Boro Park and #Lakewood. Measles cases have also been confirmed in #Bensonhurst and #Midwood/#MarinePark.

The pistol-packing perps approached the 22-year-old victim on Woodruff Avenue between St. Paul’s Place and Ocean Avenue at 5:15 pm, when they opened fire, striking him once in his right arm, officials said.

Paramedics rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where police confirmed he was in stable condition, while the crooks booked it on Woodruff Avenue towards Ocean Avenue following the incident, according to authorities.

Cops, who released surveillance footage of the shooting, said the suspects are in their late teens.
