Hello Science Fac! ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Hope Round 1 of Module Registration has been a smooth one for everyone but do take note that you can only overload modules in Round 3 (7th-8th August)

๐Ÿ”ด University Policy states that everyone can only overload in round 3 (7th-8th August) and not in round 1 or 2.

๐Ÿ”ด Freshman cannot overload in Year 1 Semester 1, with the exception of students in special programmes like Double Degree, USP or otherwise stated.

All the best for ROUND 1 of ModReg ๐Ÿ˜„

Hello Science Fac!! ๐Ÿ’™

Have you heard about certain stereotypes or assumptions about our migrant workers? Their life experience in Singapore might not be what you envisioned it to be.

There are many reasons why they come to Singapore, some of which might surprise you! Want to find out more? The details are as below:

๐Ÿ—“: 2nd September 2019
๐Ÿ“: Outside LT27

See you all there!!
Migrant workers play an important role in building our nation but oftentimes, their efforts are overlooked ๐Ÿ™ˆ and unappreciated ๐Ÿ˜” by Singaporeans.

Our event aims to let students better understand the lives of migrant workers and the hardships they face through
1. watching an interview video ๐Ÿ“ฝ๐Ÿ‘€
2. having a taste of the food they eat on a daily routine ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ‘„

โ—๏ธFor every appreciation note written by you, we will donate a set meal of pratas with curry to NUS migrant workers with your note delivered with itโ—๏ธCome down to our booth on 3rd September to make a difference in migrant workers' lives today!
Most of us are definitely aware ๐Ÿ’ญ of how much the migrant workers have contributed to our society.

If you are looking ๐Ÿ‘€ for an opportunity to give them a little gift of appreciation ๐ŸŽ, hereโ€™s your chance!

โญ•๏ธ Come down to our booth on 4th Sept, LT27 Foyer and make your own gift:
Hand-make a bag by adding your personalised touch to the paper bag, hand-pick goodies from a variety of items and we will hand-over your bag to the migrant workers in Science! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’™
This day is dedicated to helping you understand and be aware of the presence of inequality โŒ that migrant workers in Singapore face. Most of us blessed with the privilege of being born into a comfortable environment ๐Ÿ˜Œdo not realise that there are people around us who are not being treated with the rights they deserve.

Day 4 will be taking a step ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธto combating this problem by understanding and acknowledging โญ•๏ธ the presence of such inequality in Singapore.

Join us at LT27 between 1000 to 1700hrs for some fun and quiz and stand to win attractive prizes ๐ŸŽ such as a drink from Uncle Wong!
Ever wanted to show your appreciation ๐Ÿ’ to migrant workers who helped us build so many things but not sure how? You can now write your personal appreciation messages for them!! Do come down & show your support ๐Ÿ’ช for them. The details are as below:

๐Ÿ“… Date : 6th September 2019
โฐ Time: 1000 - 1600
๐Ÿ“ Venue : Outside LT27

Hope to see you all there!! โ˜บ๏ธ
