[Advisory Updates: NUS Circular 6]

Hey Science!

The NUS Circular 6 is out and contains the following information:
.
All visitors to NUS buildings and offices will need to undergo temperature screening.

More information on the temperature screening stations will be available at the NUS Emergency website from 10.00pm tomorrow (9 February).

All NUS staff and students are required to display their staff card or student card at all times on campus.

E-learning will be implemented for classes with more than 50 students. Staff and students in class sizes of 50 and below will be allowed into class.

All events and activities on NUS campuses involving more than 50 participants are to be cancelled or deferred until further notice.

All staff and students will be required to take their temperature twice daily and declare them in an online system

[Valentine's Day Celebrations and Updates]

In light of the coronavirus situation in Singapore, Valentine's Booths on 13/14 Feb has been cancelled. For those who still wants to get gifts for your friends and loved ones, worry not! We are doing preorders for Valentine's Day!

We are selling pastries🧁🍰, flowersπŸ’, and gift cardsπŸ’Œ small gifts! Check out the pictures below to find out what we are selling!
[Updates on daily temperature taking and temperature screening in Science]

The latest circular OSHE 008/20 states that all staff and students are required to take their temperature twice daily and to make their online temperature declaration (https://myaces.nus.edu.sg/htd/). To do so, staff and students are to use their personal thermometer. They do not need to be screened at the central screening stations.

The Faculty of Science has one designated temperature screening point at S16 lobby to screen visitors (non-NUS staff/students). Those who do not display their staff/student cards will be treated as visitors

For students who have attended the Faculty of Science Dean’s Welcome Tea previously, you would have already been issued with an Emergency Preparedness Pack, which includes an oral thermometer. Please use your thermometer.

For students who did not attend the Welcome Tea then, there will be distribution of Emergency Preparedness Pack which includes an oral thermometer on the following days:

Dates: 10, 11 and 12 February 2020

Venue: C4-02-10 Student Lounge 1 (Above non-air frontier)

Time: 1pm onwards
(first-come-first-serve basis, while stock lasts)

So as to cater for various student time-tables and schedules, we will be distributing 250 thermometers per day, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Students collecting the thermometers please note:

Bring along your NUS student matric card for verification and registration

Each student will only be allowed to collect 1 oral thermometer

No student is allowed to collect an oral thermometer on another student’s behalf

[Distribution of Thermometer by Science Dean's Office]

Tomorrow will be the last day of distribution of Emergency Preparedness Pack which includes an oral thermometer. Over 600 thermometers were distributed over these two days and there will be more than 250 thermometers to be distributed tomorrow!
