[Updates on daily temperature taking and temperature screening in Science]
The latest circular OSHE 008/20 states that all staff and students are required to take their temperature twice daily and to make their online temperature declaration (https://myaces.nus.edu.sg/htd/). To do so, staff and students are to use their personal thermometer. They do not need to be screened at the central screening stations.
The Faculty of Science has one designated temperature screening point at S16 lobby to screen visitors (non-NUS staff/students). Those who do not display their staff/student cards will be treated as visitors
For students who have attended the Faculty of Science Deanβs Welcome Tea previously, you would have already been issued with an Emergency Preparedness Pack, which includes an oral thermometer. Please use your thermometer.
For students who did not attend the Welcome Tea then, there will be distribution of Emergency Preparedness Pack which includes an oral thermometer on the following days:
Dates: 10, 11 and 12 February 2020
Venue: C4-02-10 Student Lounge 1 (Above non-air frontier)
Time: 1pm onwards (first-come-first-serve basis, while stock lasts)
So as to cater for various student time-tables and schedules, we will be distributing 250 thermometers per day, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Students collecting the thermometers please note:
Bring along your NUS student matric card for verification and registration
Each student will only be allowed to collect 1 oral thermometer
No student is allowed to collect an oral thermometer on another studentβs behalf
