During her studies at NUM International College, Sopheavy had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program in Poland for one semester through the Share Scholarship. This experience allowed her to immerse herself in a different academic and cultural environment, fostering personal growth and expanding her horizons.

In addition to the exchange program, Sopheavy also attended the Share Scholarship Workshop in Myanmar, where she actively engaged in activities and discussions to further enhance her knowledge and skills.

Furthermore, Sopheavy was selected as a participant in the TF SCALE program, where she dedicated three weeks to studying design thinking in Singapore. This program provided her with valuable insights and practical experience in this innovative field.
Ouk Tola, our NUM International College Graduate, is a Private Sector Advisor in the Tourism Project at GIZ ICONE, he actively contributes to shaping Cambodia's economic landscape. Through his valuable insights and contributions, he weaves his expertise into the very fabric of the country's thriving tourism sector. GIZ is a German development agency that works globally to promote sustainable development.
In his academic pursuits at NUM International College, Tola embarked on a journey driven by his curiosity for international understanding. This path led him to the ASEAN+3 Youth Social Business Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he served as a bridge, fostering collaborations that transcended borders and brought diverse communities together.

His passion and dedication soon earned him a coveted spot in the EU SEASIN Social Innovation Exchange Program in the UK. This transformative one-week program went beyond the acquisition of knowledge; it fostered a sense of community and forged connections that spanned continents.

But Tola's journey didn't stop there. He sought to infuse his skills with the power of design thinking, which brought him to the TF SCALE program in Singapore. Immersed in the art of creative problem-solving, he honed his abilities and gained fresh perspectives. Collaborating with fellow Singaporean students, Tola ventured into new realms of innovation.

We are thrilled to announce that they have achieved remarkable success as one of the Top 5 Teams in the Entrepreneurship Lean Launchpad competition. Their outstanding performance has earned them the opportunity to advance to the ICT challenge, which will take place until February.

On January 17, 2024, Professor Dr. Hor Peng, the esteemed Rector of the National University of Management, had the pleasure of meeting with 13 exceptional students from the NUM International College. Among them, 9 students have been chosen to participate in a one-semester exchange program in countries such as Japan, South Korea, Poland, Hungary, and Malaysia. Additionally, 4 students will have the opportunity to attend a week-long International Seminar in Thailand.

During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hor Peng imparted valuable advice and guidance to the students, ensuring they maximize their educational journey abroad. The Rector encouraged them to wholeheartedly embrace the unique cultural experiences they will encounter, actively engage in meaningful academic pursuits, and cultivate connections with their international peers.

NUM International College students were thrilled to have Mr. Ren Rith, the esteemed chef from NAP Restaurant, as a guest speaker for their Cross Cultural Management Class. Chef Red shared captivating insights about his personal journey and educational experiences in Germany, highlighting the cultural differences he encountered along the way. He also shared his extensive professional background as a chef and business owner in Switzerland, spanning an impressive 28-year period. Additionally, Chef Red explained the reasons behind his decision to return to Cambodia and establish his culinary career there.

During his illustrious career, Chef Red had the privilege of preparing meals for renowned celebrities from around the world. This unique aspect of his experience undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the students, as they gained a glimpse into the demanding culinary world of catering to the preferences of high-profile individuals.

The sharing session with Chef Ren Rith is expected to serve as a catalyst for inspiration among the NUM International College students, particularly those interested in pursuing careers in the food industry in Cambodia. By providing valuable insights into cross-cultural management and the nuances of the local culinary landscape, Chef Red's talk has undoubtedly broadened the students' horizons and encouraged them to explore exciting opportunities within the vibrant Cambodian food industry.
