Ms. Vin Sovotey, a freshman at NUM International College, was selected to participate in the Future Diplomats Forum 2025, taking place in Washington, D.C., from April 3rd to 6th, 2025. The prestigious forum gathers emerging leaders and thinkers to discuss the future of diplomacy and international relations.

“Growing up, I often asked myself, 'Why not me? Why can't a girl from a place so often overlooked be the one to speak here, in a room full of future diplomats and changemakers?' I had fear—yes. I had doubts. But I had something stronger: the will to rise, to learn, and to lead.
Coming to the United States alone at 18 to attend this forum was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. I left my family, my comfort zone, and everything familiar. But I also stepped into something much greater: possibility.”
