10 SIMPLE EXAM SUCCESS TIPS FOR FIRST-TIME AND RETURNING STUDENTS PREPARING FOR NOUN POP (PEN-ON-PAPER) EXAMS:

Start Early: Begin your exam preparation well in advance to avoid last-minute stress. Allocate specific time slots each day for studying.

Organize Your Study Material: Create a study schedule and organize your study material according to the exam syllabus. Break down topics into manageable chunks for better understanding.

Practice Regularly: Practice past POP exam questions to familiarize yourself with the exam format and improve your problem-solving skills. Time yourself to simulate exam conditions.

Stay Consistent: Maintain a consistent study routine throughout the semester to ensure you cover all the topics thoroughly. Consistency is key to retaining information.

Utilize Resources: Take advantage of study resources provided by NOUN, such as textbooks, lecture notes, and online tutorials. Supplement your learning with additional resources if needed.

Stay Healthy: Prioritize your physical and mental well-being during the exam preparation period. Get adequate sleep, eat nutritious meals, and take short breaks to rejuvenate your mind.

Stay Positive: Maintain a positive attitude towards your studies and exams. Believe in your abilities and stay motivated by setting realistic goals and celebrating your progress.

Seek Help When Needed: Don't hesitate to reach out to your professors, classmates, or academic advisors if you encounter difficulties with certain topics. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Review Regularly: Review your notes and study material regularly to reinforce your understanding of key concepts. Use techniques like flashcards, mind maps, or group discussions to aid in retention.

Stay Calm During the Exam: On the day of the exam, stay calm and focused. Read the instructions carefully, manage your time effectively, and answer the questions to the best of your ability. Don't panic if you encounter challenging questions; tackle them methodically.

Following these tips will help both first-time and returning students excel in their NOUN POP exams.

E-EXAMS TIPS FOR FRESHERS
========================
- All the students will be given the same set of questions but the position of each question will be scattered. For instance, your own Number 1 question might appear as Number 6 question on another person’s screen. The options may also be scattered i.e your own option A might be another person’s option D.

- The question is a mixture of OBJ (Objective) and fill-in-the gap. OBJ is usually around 35-40% and fill-in-the-gap covers 60-65%.

- The ratio of the OBJ to fill-in-the-gap questions depend on the course you are writing the exam.

- At times, some of the questions raised in OBJ are repeated in the fill-in-the-gap.

- All the courses carry 70 or 120 questions, except Mathematics courses which carries just 35 questions and 2 marks are allotted to each question.

- The timer starts immediately you commence the exam, therefore do not waste time when trying to solve difficult questions, make sure you attempt the questions you know the answers first…

- As you are attempting each question, you will be able to see the ones you have answered and the ones you have not answered below the current page (both will be displayed in different colours)

With this, you will be able to easily identify the unanswered questions and view them anytime you want.

-The timer will stop immediately you log out of the system and if you log in again the timer will continue from where you stopped but the questions and options will be scattered

- Explore the power of prayer: This may sound funny to some people, pray before you enter the exam hall or before starting the exam.

- Please note that the management has taken measures to mitigate impersonation such that your picture will appear on all the pages of the exam question

- Immediately you visit the e-exam portal you will be required to login with your matric number (just as you did in your TMA portal). So make sure you  come along with your student ID card, 2024_1 Clearance form and Exam registration slip where you can easily find your matric number(in case you don’t know it offhand). To all please take note of this important information with regards to students login to start exams your matric number all in small letter starting
with nou222….
Please note that your matric number serves as Username and password

- These are the basic buttons on the page and their functions:

1️⃣ NEXT: when you click this button you will be able to access the next set of questions

2️⃣ PREVIOUS: when you click this button you will be able to access previously viewed questions

3️⃣ LOGOUT: when you click this button you will be logged out of the page unless you log in again

4️⃣ SUBMIT: This is the execution button; you should only click it after you have answered all the questions. On clicking the SUBMIT button you will be notified if you still have some unanswered questions left. Make sure you review your work before hitting this button.

- Once you click on the SUBMIT button you will see your score instantly. It is recommended that after seeing your score you should always write it down in a safe place in order to compare it with the comprehensive results that NOUN will release after the examination period.

- The exam is computer-based; the answers are already programmed and your answers will be marked by the computer not human. If you type any answer that is different from the programmed ones you will get zero. So make sure you type the answers accurately and use the correct spelling.

- In addition to the above, please note that while answering subjective questions you cannot use your own English, you must answer it the exact way it is written in the course material or how it appeared in the TMA question.

Start reading. No time again. If your course materials of 200 to 300 pages is too bulky for you to read, kindly message us now to get our comprehensive exam summaries of less than 50 pages at an affordable price. That's what you need to pass NOUN exam easily without stress.

Regards
