Stafford not having a real shot at MVP until his 17th year shows how exceptional QB play was in the 2000s and 2010s

This year, his stats were 4707 yards, 46 TDs, 8 Ints, 65% completion rate, and a rating of 109.2. Without getting into more advanced stats, here are some comparable years he had:

2011: 5038 yards, 41 TDs, 16 Ints, 63.5% completion rate, and 97.3 rating

2017: 4446 yards, 29 TDs, 10 Ints, 65.7% completion rate, and 99.3 rating

2021: 4886 yards, 41 TDs, 17 Ints, 67.2% completion rate, and 102.3

Before this year, he only had 2 pro bowls(2023 and 2014), zero All-Pros, zero MVPs, and zero first place MVP votes.

From 2003-2021, three QBs were 12 out of 20 MVP winners. Notable QBs to not win during this period include Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, and Russell Wilson.

We had four first ballot HOF locks as well as many other potential HOF candidates playing QBs during this time period. Absolutely insane well of play

[Buscaglia] A source close to Buffalo Bills WR Keon Coleman said that he didn’t understand owner Terry Pegula’s comments about him during Wednesday’s presser, but quickly shook them off. Coleman has not requested a trade and is proceeding as though he will play for the Bills in 2026.

[Bailey] RE: Philip Rivers and the Bills; I’m told that even if he isn’t hired as the head coach, the Bills would like to have im on the staff in some way i.e. QBs coach. He and Josh Allen have a tremendous relationship and as far as seeing the game goes, few are better than Rivers.
