Saquon Barkley's rushing yards/attempt trends: (2025 worst YAC/att. in career; 2025 with a decline of 1.5 YBC/att. from 2024)
Yards After Contact per Attempt: This season Barkley has seen a decline of 0.6 YAC/att with a career low of 1.4. From 2022-2024 he was steady at 1.9-2.0. He is currently below the league average of 1.9 for YAC/att.

Yards Before Contact per Attempt: After Barkley had the third best YBC/att ever for a RB last year (3.8), he is at about league average this year with 2.3. (NFL avg 2.4)

Last season, 66% of Barkley's rushing yards came before contact; this dropped 5 points in 2025. In his first two years with the Giants his mix was significantly more from after contact. To no one's surprise, Barkley has been well above league average with Philly. (NFL average in 2025 56%)
