The New England Patriots are the first team since 1999 (Peyton Manning and the Colts) to have a ten game winning streak a year after losing 13+ games.

They just displayed this fact on the ESPN broadcast following the game.

Official r/NFL Week 13 Power Rankings

Welcome to week 13 of the 2025 r/NFL power rankings, the most biased-unbiased source for power rankings on the web. Jaguars ranker /u/preludeoflight is this week's prophet, unwavering in his #1 ranking of the Patriots since week 9. Now over 20 rankers have followed suit, usurping the Rams at the top spot, with Rams/Broncos/Seahawks also receiving top votes. The Chiefs and Ravens had the biggest slides after truly underwhelming performances, while the Bears, Texans, Packers, and Bengals had the biggest jumps. Caleb Williams looks to be Chicago's weakness, do you think they can continue to hold off the rest of the NFC? Are the Texans poised to make a late push with a defense only the Broncos can rival? Which teams do you think are undeserving of their spot? Discuss! 1. | [](/NE) | Patriots | +1 | 11-2 | Ok, who told the Patriots to play like they were being controlled by a 14 year old first-time Madden player? And can we get that kid to take over in two weeks against the Bills as well? Because the Hit Stick was being put to absolutely diabolical use on Monday night against a dismal 2-10 Giants team just trying to close out the season. Maybe the Patriots defenders figured the Giants players couldn't get any more CTE than they already have, so they were fair game for massive hits and headshots? Even kicker Younghoe Koo clearly thought he was in a Charlie Brown movie and not on an NFL field, if that isn't a sign of too many hits in the head, I'm not sure what is. Unfortunately for the Giants, even their best matchup on the night (their fearsome defensive linemen vs the depleted Patriots o-line) was weakened by Abdul Carter busting… being a bust in a team meeting and then being benched for a portion of the game. Alright, all jokes aside, this was a complete win in all three phases of the game for the Pats. The offense was able to move the ball effortlessly despite missing multiple offensive linemen, the defense played lights out and set a hard-nosed tone early into the night, and special teams came up huge with punt return touchdown and a forced fumble off of a massive hit during a kickoff return attempt. This kind of dominant win over a massively inferior opponent is exactly the sort of performance you want heading into a late bye week to conclude a run of 10 straight wins. Things get a little tougher in two weeks with upcoming games against the Bills and Ravens, but if New England can reset and get a bit healthier during their week off, I'm not really sure who in the AFC can actually stop them at the moment. ;
2. | [](/LAR) | Rams | -1 | 9-3 | Power rank #1 curse is real. Despite the Rams having a more efficient offense than Carolina, costly turnovers by former MVP frontrunner Matt Stafford and untimely defensive lapses (mainly by Emmanuel Forbes) were the difference. Let's chalk this loss up to a few key plays that went the other way during an early east coast game in bad weather and have faith that lessons will be learned before it's too late. The Rams have friendly remaining schedule strength, though anything but the #1 seed will all but ensure another outdoor road game, so there's little margin for error.
3. | [](/SEA) | Seahawks | -- | 9-3 | Another awesome Sunday! It was Darnold's revenge game.... and I guess you can say he succeeded? But really, the defense succeeded on his behalf. The Minnesota Vikings should be looked at for reckless endangerment of Max Brosmer's life. Throwing him to the wolves against Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy, Demarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu, Boye Mafe.... No bueno! Demarcus Lawrence needs a special shoutout-- he has been an absolutely massive addition to this defense. He has thrived in MacDonald's defense. He was taking Brosmer down for a sack when Brosmer decided to throw Ernest Jones an 80 yard touchdown. He also made a [hell of a play
