The former northside church minister was removed from his position after an investigation caused by church members bringing forth allegations that Ervin had “…engaged in behavior that disqualified him from serving as a minister for the church.”

Madison County Court staff confirmed the charge involves a minor. Ervin was indicted on the charges in November 2025.

According to Ervin’s social media profile, he has been involved with at least three other churches and has been a youth pastor in the past.

The school suspended him, then fired him.

On January 15, he returned to school, but was immediately suspended again—he did not teach any classes.
