In the Montgomery County Public Schools district middle school (Maryland, USA), pupils aged about 11-12 years old were given a sheet inviting them to match terms such as "sex assigned at birth," "gender identity," "gender expression," "cisgender," and "transgender" with their definitions.
These are mean interventions that ask children at a very delicate age to deal with topics that are not suitable for them.
It appears that, in March, the school district notified parents that they would not be notified in advance of those classes and that they would not be able to take their children out of those parts of the program.
