An undercover operation in Clay County conducted Aug. 7-8 resulted in the arrest of seven people for attempted purchase of sexual services from minors.
Local officers, working with Arizona detectives, posted ads on sites known for child sex trafficking.
The suspects, believing they were meeting a 14-year-old girl, were confronted and arrested by uniformed officers in public places.
Four men, aged between 23 and 48, all non-county residents, were stopped in Clay County.
One is also under investigation for immigration law violations.
Three other suspects were arrested by partner agencies.
All are charged with attempted child exploitation.

A year later, the โcriminal investigationโ against me is still struggling to find anything that I or Telegram did wrong. Our moderation practices align with industry standards, and Telegram has always responded to every legally binding request from France.
Ironically, I was arrested due to the French policeโs own mistake: before August 2024, they ignored French and EU laws and hadnโt sent any of their queries to Telegram via the required legal process. They could have learned the correct procedure simply by googling it or asking.
One year after this strange arrest, I still have to return to France every 14 days, with no appeal date in sight. Sadly, the only outcome of my arrest so far has been massive damage to Franceโs image as a free country.
