The Anglican Diocese of North Queensland faces a financial crisis to compensate victims of #sexual_abuse of minors that occurred between the 1950s and 1980s.

Bishop Keith Joseph announced the need to raise about $8 million for payments.

The diocese is preparing a petition to the Supreme Court to restructure and sell property, as its structure does not allow for easy liquidations.
