30 Years Ago Today: Army Vet Stole a Tank and Rampaged Through San Diego

On May 17, 1995, Army veteran Shawn Nelson stole an M60A3 tank from a National Guard armory and tore through 6 miles of San Diego streets, crushing cars, hydrants, and traffic lights. Despite the destruction, no one was injured. Police ended the rampage by shooting Nelson after the tank got stuck.

🛑UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANT MOTHER SEXUALLY TRAFFICKED 12-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER🛑

Elia Antonio, 34, an undocumented immigrant, confessed to #trafficking her 12-year-old daughter sexually, handing her over $250 to her partner, Juan Carlos Rocha Mejia, 32.

The child, forced into a van and taken to the man's house, managed to escape after being tied and blindfolded, seeking help at a nearby home.

Antony was arrested in 2024 and admitted charges of #trafficking_of_minors, failure to protect a minor, and breach of bail.

He faces more than 52 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for August. Mejia is charged with similar crimes.

Police launched an investigation after neighbors reported that they helped the girl.
