CARRINGTON, North Dakota

Fire crews are on the scene of a blaze 10 miles Southeast of Carrington, North Dakota, after multiple car fires broke out following a train derailment.

The Carrington FD tells us that the fire began around 3:45 a.m. Friday, July 5th and is still active at this time.

Officials say the locomotive is not on fire, but cars on the scene still are.

Scanner traffic indicated the presence of a possible hazmat team on the scene as well.
