A bridge that connects Arizona & New Mexico in the Navajo Nation has been severely damaged due to the weather, according to a post from the Navajo PD.
The bridge is on U.S. Hwy 64 & all lanes of the highway are closed in both directions from mile marker 0 in Arizona to mile marker 12 in New Mexico.
Navajo police officials said the highway shouldn't be used bw Teec Nos Pos, AZ, & Beclabito, NM, & travelers will have to go through Colorado instead.
The Arizona & New Mexico departments of transportation are working together on the roadway.
Navajo EMS assured residents in a post that their services have not been affected.
