▫️Operation Net Nanny: 15 arrested in Washington State alleged child abuse and exploitation operation
COWLITZ COUNTY, Wash. - An online sting operation in southwest Washington led to the arrest of 15 men suspected of child sex abuse. ‘Operation Net Nanny’ was carried out by Washington State Patrol, Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office, Longview Police and Kelso Police. It initially ended at the end of October and netted 11 arrests, but a short extension of the operation in Renton resulted in four more arrests. Authorities specifically targeted suspects of the crimes of rape of a child, commercial sex abuse of a child, immoral communication with a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor and child pornography. KENT COUNTY, MI – A man accused in the kidnapping and killing of East Kentwood High student Mujey Dumbuya has died, his attorney said. Gerald Bennett, 63, of Detroit, was awaiting trial in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids on multiple charges, including kidnapping and murder. Kent County prosecutors said James, once a maintenance worker at Kentwood Public Schools, kidnapped her at her bus stop and killed her so she would not be able to testify that he sexually assaulted her when she was 15.

OMAHA, Neb. - The man arrested in connection with a 2021 felony child abuse case made his first appearance in court Monday morning. Domanic Brown, 31, an Omaha foster parent, has been formally charged with committing intentional child abuse causing no injury and possession of child pornography. He’d been arrested Friday on charges of felony child abuse and child porn; police said the incident had only been reported earlier this year. Brown is accused of engaging in sexual abuse with a 14-year-old. Omaha Police said Friday that because of Domanic Brown’s involvement in the community, they are asking any additional victims to come forward. On November 8, 2023, Wilbert James Jones, Jr., 57, of Ennis, was sentenced to life in prison for three counts of sexual assault of a child, announced Ellis County District Attorney Ann Montgomery. In 2011, Jones was released from prison after serving time for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. At a homecoming party, Jones met his 15-year-old victim. During the trial, Jones unsuccessfully attempted to flee custody.

▫️Dulles CBP Officers Capture Two Montgomery County, MD Felony Rape Suspect
CBP officers apprehended Adam Aguilar Cruz, a 28-year-old El Salvadoran man who is illegally present in the United States. Aguilar Cruz was wanted by Montgomery County Police on felony strongarm and 2nd degree rape charges, 3rd degree sex offenses, and 2nd degree assault charges. Officers intercepted Aguilar Cruz as he attempted to flee the United States.
Later Friday, CBP officers apprehended Frank Miguel Morillo, a 25-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen from the Dominican Republic. Morillo was wanted by Montgomery County Police for felony first degree rape. Morillo was deported from Bogota, Colombia and arrived at Dulles Airport under escort by Colombian immigration authorities.

SAN MARCOS, Texas — A former San Marcos High School (SMHS) teacher and assistant coach has been found guilty of three counts of sexual assault of a child.
On Nov. 2, a Hays County jury found David Ross Guerrero guilty. According to a press release from the Hays County District Attorney's Office, after Guerrero was found guilty, three additional victims testified during the punishment phase of his trial. All were former students of Guerrero, and each outlined his inappropriate behavior and sexual relationships with them while he was a teacher at SMHS.
