Sgt. Ron Malone of the Ocala Police Department (Florida) left the hospital after his 17-day stay and take his next steps in the healing process. His journey to recovery continues, and his strength throughout this challenging time is truly remarkable.
Sgt. Malone was the officer injured in the deadly head-on collision that occurred on August 26, where a hit-and-run driver had killed a pedestrian. The collision with Sgt. Malone's vehicle appeared to be intentional and occurred at speeds exceeding 90 mph.
We wholeheartedly thank everyone for their thoughts and concerns for our officer and kindly ask that you continue to keep him and his family in your prayers during this challenging time.
