એકી સંખ્યા
જે સંખ્યાનો એકમનો અંક ૧,૩,૫,૭. કે ૯ હોય તેવી સંખ્યાઓને એકી સંખ્યા કહે છે.

બેકી સંખ્યા
જે સંખ્યાનો એકમનો અંક ૨,૪,૬,૮ કે ૦ હોય તેવી સંખ્યાઓને બેકી સંખ્યા કહે છે

અવયવ
આપેલી સંખ્યાને જે -જે સંખ્યાઓ વડે નિ:શેષ ભાગી શકાય તે-તે સંખ્યાઓ આપેલી સંખ્યાના અવયવ છે તેમ કહેવાય.

વિભાજ્ય સંખ્યા
જે સંખ્યાને બે થી વધુ અવયવો હોય તેવી સંખ્યાને વિભાજ્ય સંખ્યા કહે છે.

જે સંખ્યાને બે અને માત્ર બે જ અવયવો હોય તેવી સંખ્યાને અવિભાજ્ય સંખ્યા કહે છે.

સમચ્છેદી અપૂર્ણાંક
જે અપૂર્ણાંકોના છેદ સરખા હોય તેવા અપૂર્ણાંકો ને સમચ્છેદી અપૂર્ણાંક કહે છે.

વિષમચ્છેદી અપૂર્ણાંક
જે અપૂર્ણાંકોના છેદ સરખા ના હોય તેવા અપૂર્ણાંકોને વિષમચ્છેદી અપૂર્ણાંક કહે છે.

શુધ્ધ અપૂર્ણાંક
૧ થી નાના અપૂર્ણાંકોને ને શુધ્ધ અપૂર્ણાંકો કહે છે
અથવા અંશ નાનો હોય ને છેદ મોટો હોય તેવા અપૂર્ણાંકોને શુધ્ધ અપૂર્ણાંકો કહે છે.

અશુધ્ધ અપૂર્ણાંક
૧ થી મોટા અપૂર્ણાંકોને અશુધ્ધ અપૂર્ણાંક કહે છે
અથવા જે અપૂર્ણાંકોમાં અંશ મોટો હોય ને છેદ નાનો હોય તેવા અપૂર્ણાંકોને અશુધ્ધ અપૂર્ણાંક કહે છે.
