“forgive yourself. this is your life. it has never belonged to anyone else. there is no other timeline you are supposed to be following, no other version you are supposed to become by now. the moment you stop comparing it, even for a second, you will realise you were never outside of your life.
you were always in it. learning, feeling, becoming. exactly as you were meant to.”

"Language does more than express our thoughts. Over time, it reveals the world we believe we inhabit. Within the Islamic intellectual tradition, words reflect the condition of the heart, and through repetition they begin to shape the direction of a person’s life.
The Qur’an offers a striking illustration of this in the story of the wealthy man in Surah al-Kahf. Proud of his gardens and wealth, he spoke with arrogance and certainty about his own success:
“I do not think this will ever perish, and I do not think the Hour will come. And even if I were returned to my Lord, I would surely find something better than this.”
(Qur’an 18:35–36)
His words revealed not gratitude, but arrogance. Not humility, but confidence in his own power.
Soon after, the Qur’an tells us that his garden was destroyed, leaving him standing among its ruins in regret. The story is not only about wealth. It is about speech. His downfall began not with the loss of his garden, but with the arrogance that had already taken root in his words. Language reveals the posture of the heart, and that posture eventually shapes the direction of one’s life."
"To speak thoughtfully, therefore, is not simply a matter of courtesy. It is an ethical discipline, one that recognises that language forms part of the moral legacy a person leaves behind."
"A person who constantly speaks inwardly with doubt, fear, or harsh self-criticism slowly begins to inhabit a landscape shaped by those emotions. Over time, passing thoughts harden into convictions: I cannot do this. I am not capable. Nothing will change.
Yet the opposite is equally true. When the inner voice speaks with patience, trust, and hope, a different inner landscape begins to emerge. The language of the heart becomes a language of resilience, possibility, and faith."
