Onyankopon, also known as Nyame, is the Supreme Sky God of the Akan people of West Africa, embodying the vast heavens, divine order, and the unseen source of all life. Revered as all-knowing yet distant, he once lived close to humanity but withdrew to the high heavens after people’s disrespect angered him, symbolizing the separation between mortals and the divine. Together with Asase Yaa, the Earth Mother, he maintains the balance of creation—spirit and matter, heaven and earth. Though rarely worshipped directly, Onyankopon remains the eternal presence behind truth, justice, and destiny, his power shining silently through the sky above.

Sempre secondo la tradizione questa ragazzina venne denunciata come cristiana dal suo pretendente dopo che lei lo rifiutò e al pari di altri cristiani venne torturata senza rinnegare la propria fede
