Hephaestus - God of Fire, God of the Forge, God of Craftsmanship & Technology.
#Greek
Hephaestus is the Greek god of blacksmiths, metalworking, carpenters, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metallurgy, fire (compare, however, with Hestia), and volcanoes. Hephaestus's Roman counterpart is Vulcan. In Greek mythology, Hephaestus was either the son of Zeus and Hera or he was Hera's parthenogenous child. He was cast off Mount Olympus by his mother Hera because of his lameness, the result of a congenital impairment; or in another account, by Zeus for protecting Hera from his advances (in which case his lameness would have been the result of his fall rather than the reason for it)
As a smithing god, Hephaestus made all the weapons of the gods in Olympus. He served as the blacksmith of the gods, and was worshipped in the manufacturing and industrial centres of Greece, particularly Athens. The cult of Hephaestus was based in Lemnos. Hephaestus's symbols are a smith's hammer, anvil, and a pair of tongs.
As god of fire, Hephaestus became the divine smith and patron of craftsmen; the natural volcanic or gaseous fires already connected with him were often considered to be his workshops.

We invoke thee, Black Dragon of Chaos
We evoke thee, O mighty dragon force
Awaken now from your aeonic slumber -- rise up from the abyss
Dragon of forgotten lore - let your Chaos rule forever more
Lotan - Raise your seven heads and let the ancient ones rule again
Apep - Dragon of devouring darkness, supreme ruler of emptiness
Open up your black diamond eyes and rejoice as Ra's creation dies
Jormungand - Lord of the poisonous sea, fulfill the twilight prophecy
Unleash your hatred upon all life and kill this world in the final strife
Tiamat - Queen of the formless deep - The Eleventh seal is now broken
Hark to your children's invocations and awaken from your dreadful sleep
Tohu Tehom Theli Than Leviathan Tanin'iver Taninsam!
Tohu Tehom Theli Than Leviathan Tanin'iver Taninsam!
Leviathan - Tortuous one, by your Wrathful Chaos our war will be won
Bring forth your darkness, grant us your grace and enlighten us in your wicked ways
Typhon - Lord of dark desires, purify us with your smokeless fires
Make us at one with thyself and walk the earth once again
Tohu Tehom Theli Than Leviathan Tanin'iver Taninsam!

When Japan Demanded American Mythology

After Commodore Perry forced Japan to open its doors to the wider world and stop its centuries old policy of isolationism Edo Period Japan was hungry for American culture and Mythology, as they were in awe of this powerful country. They received it in the form of some simultaneously fascinating and hilarious depictions of the Founding Fathers including George Washington Punching a Tiger, fighting Asura (A Dharmic God) and being presided over by the goddess of America (Columbia). While Ben Franklin is depicted as a stoic warrior capable of holding and firing a cannon with his bare hands. While John Addams is a super human warrior whose mother is eaten by a snake, Addams than seeks out a Mountain Fairy and with the aid of the Fairy's giant Eagle defeats the giant Snake and avenges his mother. In a strange turn of events many in Japan actually still take these depictions as historic fact. With Washington even a "Kami" at the Hawaiian Shinto Temple.

“The gods and goddesses are not relics chiselled in stone. Whisper their names and you will find what time has not forgotten.”

NUG AND YEB : The spawn of Shub-Niggurath, The Black Goat of The Woods with a Thousand Young, and Yog - Sothoth, The Key and The Gate, Nug and Yeb are worshipped prolifically throughout the world due to their yin and yang symbology. By implication Yeb is masculine and Nug, the mother of Cthulhu Himself, is feminine, though They may both be androgynous. Both closely resemble Yeb's mother, Shub - Niggurath, in appearance. (The Bible of CTHULHU page 54).
