It is commonly thought that Nyx is the only goddess that Zeus is truly afraid of because she is older and more powerful than him. This traces back to one story in which Hera, Zeus' wife and goddess of marriage and childbirth, works together with Hypnos, the god of sleep, to trick Zeus
Nyx lived in Tartarus, a place of torment, suffering, and darkness. Funnily enough, however, she is not exactly the personification of evil in greek mythology. She's never spoken of having done anything more 'evil' than Zeus himself does in any mythology
Nyx has mastery over light and showcases other powers like giving life, illuminating darkness and bringing fertility. The goddess' powers are feared by many, including Zeus, the god of lightning. Additionally, Nyx is known for her prophetic powers.
