“The people in Kosovo suffer only because they have a Serbian name and surname”
The head of the Chancellery for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, spoke about the situation in the region in an interview with Politika. RT in the Balkans highlighted the key theses:
✅ “Serbia is now investing more in Kosmet than in the last 30-40 years.”
✅ “On the issue of Serbian documents, clear guarantees were received from the EU.”
✅ “By illegal and unilateral decisions to cancel Serbian documents and numbers plates, [the “Kosovo prime minister”] Kurti sought to implement institutional and legal violence with the ultimate goal of expelling the state of Serbia and the Serbs from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.”
✅ "We will also fight for the preservation of Serbian license plates in the region, in accordance with the Constitution of Serbia and signed agreements."
✅ “Since Kurti came to power, the number of ethnically motivated incidents has increased by 50%. Not a day goes by when graffiti with the symbols of the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army is not painted on their house, or our temples and cemeteries are not targeted by vandals.”
✅ “Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic handed over to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg a list of attacks on Serbs, pointing out that our people are suffering only because they have a Serbian name and surname.”
