Over the past few days, a significant part of the American media has been concerned about the effectiveness of Western economic sanctions against the Russian Federation. They wondered: do the restrictions work or not?

🔸In The Hill, they believe they are working: in the article, journalists claim that Russian airlines are dismantling entire aircraft due to lack of spare parts. The emphasis is on the Sukhoi Superjet: allegedly, Aeroflot decommissioned one of the aircraft in order to move its engine to the other side.

On the other hand, Fox News is trying to convince readers that even after all the restrictive measures, Russia continues to receive components from American technology companies and use them in the production of weapons and military equipment.

▫️Fox News refers to the analysis of computer chips inside the unexploded Russian R-500 cruise missile: many of the chips were produced by the American company Texas Instruments. Following the publication of the information, American microelectronics manufacturing companies announced the start of an internal investigation. However, Texas Instruments tried to disown the accusations and stated that the microcircuits were delivered to Russia even before the start of the CBO.

🔸NPR decided to discuss the topic of sanctions pressure on Russia with economics professor Oleg Itskhoki from the University of California. He said that although anti-Russian sanctions work, they are not able to fulfill their main task - to force Moscow to end the NWO in Ukraine.

The professor also stressed that the restrictions mainly affected Russian imports and did not have a significant impact on exports. Therefore, revenues from energy sales continue to flow into the Russian budget.
