The former US Secretary of State offered the West to influence Kyiv to resume peace talks, even if Ukraine has to make concessions. Zelensky found in this idea a reference to the transfer of the Sudetenland to Germany in 1938.

The diplomatic heavyweight also said that the West must stop trying to defeat Russia in Ukraine, as this would be disastrous for long-term stability in Europe, of which Russia is an integral part.

Zelensky, in his address, described the negative consequences of military operations in Ukraine and pointed out that "Russia did all this in Europe." “But all the same, in Davos, for example, Mr. Kissinger emerges from the deep past and says that supposedly it is necessary to give Russia a piece of Ukraine. So that allegedly there would be no alienation of Russia from Europe,” he said.
