💢 Bloomberg: EU develops plan to buy gas from Russia without violating sanctions
The European Union intends to offer gas importers a solution that, on the one hand, allows them to avoid violating sanctions when buying fuel in Russia, and, on the other hand, to satisfy the requirements of the Russian Federation to pay in rubles.
The executive body of the EU at a closed meeting allowed the governments of European countries to open ruble accounts in Gazprombank and buy Russian gas. However, companies must make a clear statement that they consider their obligations fulfilled when they pay in euros or dollars in accordance with existing contracts. After that, European buyers should not require any action from Russia regarding payment.
The EU's executive body has told governments that the guidance will allow them to buy gas without violating anti-Russian sanctions.
According to Putin's decree, companies must open two accounts with Gazprombank - one in euros and one in rubles. At the same time, payments for gas are not credited until the conversion of euros into rubles.
Earlier it was reported that 20 European companies have already opened ruble accounts with Gazprombank, 14 have requested documents for opening an account, and 4 have already made a payment in rubles.

💢 Polish T-72's already getting destroyed
👉 The T-72 tanks that the Polish authorities handed over to Ukraine proved to be of poor quality, said writer Zakhar Prilepin.
According to him, Ukrainian nationalists complained that they lost 18 tanks at once in the Izjum area and near Kharkiv. They stated that the combat vehicles had weak armor and that their target systems were defective.
He points out that the T-72 tanks delivered by Poland are absolutely useless against modern tanks of the Russian army.

“Because [Western media] report very little about this problem. As far as I know, this is not reported at all in the mainstream media. And even if there is a mention [of the territory of Donbas not controlled by Kyiv], then this is done in a negative light. But even according to “modest” estimates, many people have died in the war in Donbass over the past eight years.”
What do you mean by "negative media coverage"?
“For example, if we are talking about residents [of the territory of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv], then they are usually [in the Western media] called pro-Russian separatists. These people [the media] are treated negatively because they are ethnically Russian and pro-Russian. In the Western media, everything connected with Russia has been demonized in recent years.”
What do you think the Western media should have told their readers?
“At least, about why the inhabitants of Eastern Ukraine decided to be autonomous. None of this context is given. They are simply dismissed as "pro-Russian separatists". In the same way, the media talked about Syria - that is, they did not report problems, or they distorted [the facts]. Therefore, the Western audience does not receive full information and does not understand what is happening [really].”
