I'm suspended from posting and commenting on FB for 3 days because some poxy fact checker found this from last year. I keep blocking them but they pop up like Frankenstein's weeds!!

This morning's briefing by the Russian MOD was mostly as usual. Depots and other strategic targets were hit, one plane down. But I think it's the first time they mention destroying as many as 8 columns of tanker trucks that were bound to fuel up the Ukrainian army. But even more impressive, their artillery targeted 760 groups of Ukrainian soldiers. It's much more than the previous figures given during those briefings (the highest previous number of groups of Ukrainian soldiers targeted by the artillery that I found was about 200): We'll probably see tomorrow (maximum on Monday) if this increase in artillery works is translating into an increase in Ukrainian losses, via the Rybar report (this morning's report mentions +414 soldiers lost (= dead + wounded + POW). It's less than average, but is much higher than the Russian losses.

Western advisors advised Zelensky to retreat from Donbass because the issue of the battle will be in favour of the Russian army, but Zelensky seems to do the opposite. Ukraine clings to Donbass, despite the will of the people of Donbass. There are reports of people being arrested and tortured, particularly in Slavyansk. Phone calls to Russia, commentaries on social media, anything can be used as a reason for arrest. This is a region where a large part of the population have family in Russia.
Ukraine wants Donbass, but without the people of Donbass, as a colony.
A thought about the figures of Ukrainian losses: I doubt they include include the "territorial defence" units

Study finds plastics found in masks present in patients’ lungs

"The study from Great Britain discovered microplastic particles in the lung tissue of 11 out of 13 patients undergoing surgery.

Microplastic fibres were found deep in the lower lungs of living human beings in almost every person sampled in a recent UK study.

Polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) were the most prevalent substances present in the lungs.

The microscopic plastic fragments and fibres were discovered by scientists at Hull York Medical School in the UK. Some of the filaments were two millimetres long in patients undergoing surgery whose lung tissue they sampled.

The plastic dust and microscopic debris comprises the same plastics used to manufacture the ubiquitous surgical masks worn by hundreds of millions of people around the world as mandated by governments in an attempt to halt the spread of COVID-19.

The material most commonly used to make these masks is PP — PP fabric is made from a “thermoplastic” polymer, meaning that it’s easy to work with and shape at high temperatures.

Blue surgical masks can also be made of polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyethylene, or polyester, all of which are types of fabrics derived from thermoplastic polymers.

Microplastics were detected in human blood for the first time in March, showing the particles can travel around the human body and may become embedded in organs. The impact on health is still to be determined.

Drone captures empty Shanghai streets as COVID lockdown extended until April 26

Shanghai has extended its COVID-19 lockdown until April 26.

There are reports that the public isn't satisfied with the government response.

Drone footage shot on Friday shows the megacity with empty streets and pedestrian zones.

The city authorities that have entered the 4th week of a strict lockdown announced further measures.

As a scout of the 57th brigade, who surrendered, said, the Ukrainian command recorded these videos so that "no one would get out in case of something."

The fighters who retreated during the battle were threatened with fire by their own.

🇺🇦 Kiev nationalist regime is preparing another provocation to accuse Russia of allegedly massacring civilians in Irpen, Kiev Region

❗️Units of the Russian Armed Forces left the town more than a week ago.

▫️The Security Service of Ukraine plans to bring the bodies of local residents killed by Ukrainian artillery shelling from the morgue of the town hospital on Polevaya Street to the basement of a building on the eastern outskirts of Irpen.

▫️Then a staged action with shooting and "destruction" of an alleged "Russian reconnaissance group" that arrived in Irpen "to kill witnesses of Russian war crimes" will be staged by the Security Service of Ukraine in Puscha-Voditskii forest area.

▫️At the same time, the bodies of captured Russian servicemen previously killed by nationalists under torture will be presented as "undeniable evidence" in the forest.

▫️This cynical staged action is organised for later distribution of video footage through the Western media.

Have you heard the latest (according the Western media, in chorus)? Russian forces apparently secretly buried *up to 9000 Mariupol civilians* in "mass graves" in a town just west of the city.

Except, it never happened, there is no mass grave.

I know, with journalist Roman Kosarev, I went there, unlike Western media reporting from Kiev & further abroad.

We spoke with the men responsible for burials, who refused the allegations and said they buried each person in a coffin, including, they noted, Ukrainian soldiers.

Unhinged Ukrainian host Dmitry Gordon is disappointed that an act of terrorism against infrastructure can't be done.

This is at a time when Russia still hasn't bombed Ukrainian bridges, particualrly those connecting West to East, from where weapons and reinforcements easily flow.

This would create humanitarian difficulties, but a case is being made to do so in order to minimise risk to life of the military.
