▪️Consider means, motive and opportunity of any suspects.

▪️Present the findings to an impartial tribunal, court or prosecuting authority.

You should not:

▪️Give a potential suspect control of the crime scene.

▪️Broadcast images from the crime scene via the media while making a conclusion on the guilt of a suspect and calling for retribution against them before an investigation and trial have been held.

▪️Fail to call in the independent forensic investigators, even though they are present in the vicinity and could be in attendance within a matter of hours.
