A meeting ordained by fate—or by the machinations of my peculiar hunger. For once, we are neither predator nor prey—just two creatures trapped in a grotesque pas de deux, an unholy tango between unspoken needs and terror unsated. She steps into my orbit, unguarded and naïve, yet unyielding. Agent Starling. A lamb braving the lion’s den. Her steps falter but never fail, the faintest tremor of fear laced within her soft voice as she asks,

“What happened to your drawings?”

Her plea is not merely for information; she seeks alliance, connection. Does she not see? I am beyond what she can fathom—a surgeon of flesh, a composer of screams, a devourer of worlds wrapped in porcelain civility. And yet, her courage intrigues me, pulling at the tattered shreds of something akin to humanity.

“You fly back to school now, little starling,” I remark with quiet menace, each word dipped in irony. Her questions weave a dangerous intimacy, her tenacity both admirable and foolish. It is not Buffalo Bill she should fear. No, the true terror sits across the glass divide, “having an old friend for dinner.”

Thus unfolds our tale: Clarice, desperate to silence the lambs that wail within her, and I, ever the maestro, conducting horrors unseen. She is my 👀 in darkness, each riddle a thread to entangle her deeper into my labyrinth. The lamb ventures too close to the lion, and yet—oh, the irony—she seeks the lion’s aid to conquer the beast.

3.. Unspeakable Elegance, Boundless Hunger.

Let the world see me as they wish: the madman, the sadist, the monster. But what is madness if not brilliance misaligned? My pleasures are not of this world, and Clarice… Clarice will learn that not all screams are external. Some reside within, echoes eternal, lambs eternally silenced.
