Elrond Staking Phase 2 goes live on December 1st

🔹 Total weekly rewards increase from 4,000 to 5,000 eGold
🔹 Web wallet “Validate” section available for testing

As part of the upcoming mainnet upgrade, the “Unstake” feature will be activated for Validators. This gives node operators the option to withdraw from active validation and claim their stake after the 10 days unbonding period. When doing so, their Validator nodes immediately become inactive and are replaced by nodes in the Validators Queue.

Google Launchpad & Binance backed Xend Finance joins the Elrond #DeFi ecosystem

We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Xend Finance, the first cross-chain DeFi credit union which has secured funding and support from Binance and Google Launchpad. The startup is creating a bridge between traditional Credit Unions & Cooperatives and Decentralized Finance.

Our collaboration with the hybrid CeFi & DeFi startup will enable traditional investors to make insured cash deposits into Elrond’s PoS economy and DeFi products running on our blockchain. The deposits will be automatically converted into eGold and added to select products, yielding rewards in stable coins and $XEND tokens.

Less than 24 hours since officially announced, the mainnet upgrade to v1.1.10.0 has been performed by 2,117 Validators, out of 2,169 in total.

BREAKING: Bitcoin is coming to Elrond!

We have started working with Poly Network to integrate the Elrond mainnet into a network of protocols. Poly Network is building an interoperability layer between blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Neo, Ontology, and Cosmos, with Elrond joining next.

This will enable Bitcoin to circulate on Elrond at internet scale & cost, and the myriads of ERC20 DeFi tokens to benefit from 30% royalties on smart contracts and inexpensive high-speed token transfers.

“We are building Elrond to be the internet-scale blockchain. That means throughput on par with the performance needs of the internet, as well as interoperability with the most widely adopted networks.
