We’re excited to announce that eGold token holders can contribute to the launch pool of our partner Centaur, who recently rebranded from ProDeFi.

As announced on the 15th of August, Elrond supporters will get the first opportunity to contribute to Centaur pools and earn CNTR tokens.

A limited number of contributors will be able to stake 25 eGold and receive 1,500 CNTR tokens after 2 weeks. This approximates to +90% APY or +4% over 14 days.

New stable coin & more DeFi for eGold holders via Bidao partnership

We’re excited to announce that we’re working with Bidao to make eGold usable as collateral for issuing the multi-asset backed stable coin BAI, which will also be issued on the Elrond mainnet.

Bidao is building a Layer-2 DeFi solution that will integrate with multiple different chains. The native assets of the different chains can be locked into Collateralized Debt Positions (CDPs) to issue BAI, a trustless meta-stable coin that is algorithmically pegged to the USD.

The collaboration is important for the Elrond ecosystem as it enables eGold holders to participate in cross-chain DeFi opportunities while simultaneously holding onto their preferred asset, and brings an additional stable coin on our blockchain.

We’re excited to announce that more eGold staking is coming! The additional staking will happen in a queue, where participants will be rewarded for being ready to step in for unstaked & undelegated amounts.

This will happen in a staggered approach and in tandem with the ongoing Elrond mainnet bootstrapping.

Phase 1: Delegators Queue - starts 14 October

• Delegate min 10 eGold in the Delegators Queue
• 4,000 eGold / week rewarded to all participants, up to 20% APR
• unDelegated eGold replaced from Delegators Queue immediately
• 10 days unbonding after unDelegate

✅ Extra: Delegation rewards will be claimable

Phase 2: Validators Queue - at Mainnet Upgrade

• Add 2,500 eGold/node to the Validators Queue
• 5,000 eGold/week rewarded to sum of Validators & Delegators Queues, up to 20% APR
• unStaked Validators replaced from Validators Queue immediately
